Stephan is the Global Privacy Officer and Associate General Counsel at Blackboard, a leading education technology company, serving over 100 million learners and educators in 90 countries.  He was formerly Citigroup’s Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Chief Privacy Officer.  He is a Swiss qualified lawyer and was Deputy Data Protection Commissioner of one of the Swiss regional data protection authorities.
